Ukrainian Army capable of defending national independence - first deputy PM

KYIV. April 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Yarema has said the Ukrainian Army is ready to defend the country's sovereignty.

"Today, as the General Staff reports, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are capable of defending Ukrainian independence and statehood," he said at a meeting with Dnipropetrovsk officials in Dnipropetrovsk on Friday.
