Medvedev earns 1.6 mln rubles less in 2013 than in 2012 - declarations

MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev earned 1.6 million rubles less in 2012 than in 2013, according to his income and property declarations.

Medvedev's total income for last year was 4,259,525 rubles, according to his 2013 declaration. His 2012 declaration put his income for that year at a little more than 5,814,000 rubles.

"The reason for this difference is that Dmitry Anatolyevich's declaration for 2012 took account of his income as president," said Medvedev's spokeswoman, Natalya Timakova.

She said there was no other difference between the two declarations. Medvedev still owns two cars - a GAZ-20 and a GAZ-21, - and an apartment with a floor space of 367 square meters, and holds a 49-year lease on a land plot of 4,700 square meters. His wife, as before, owns a Volkswagen Golf car.
