Ukraine presidential candidate Tsariov in serious condition after Kyiv attack - his press service
KYIV. April 15 (Interfax) - Ukrainian presidential candidate and MP Oleh Tsariov was attacked by an aggressive crowd outside the ICTV television station's office in Kyiv, Tsariov's press service said.
"Following the completion of a live broadcast on the ICTV television channel, parliamentarian and Ukrainian presidential candidate Oleh Tsariov was attacked by an aggressive, armed crowd blockading the TV station's building. It was with great difficulty that security guards managed to rebuff the enraged militants' attack on Oleh Tsariov," the report, which was posted on the presidential candidate's website early on Tuesday morning, says.
Tsariov left the ICTV office around an hour ago, his aide said.
"He was severely beaten and is now in serious condition," the press service said.
