Certain forces pushing Russia towards artificial crisis - Medvedev
MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - Russia's economic problems are due, to some extent, to some forces' attempts to incite an artificial crisis in Russia, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
"To a certain extent, our problems - let me stress, to a certain extent - are rooted in some forces' attempts to push us towards an artificial crisis," Medvedev said at a meeting of the Finance Ministry's senior officials on Tuesday.
The Russian leadership cannot and must not disregard this political component, he said.
"All of us must take this aspect into account while planning the current policies and strategy," the prime minister said.
