Government to spend 44 bln rubles on exploration in five prospective zones
MOSCOW. April 16 (Interfax) - The cost to operate at five prospective zones where the government is prepared to accept the risks of searching for hydrocarbons is estimated at 44.3 bln rubles, Sergei Natural Resources and Environment Minister Sergei Donskoi said in a presentation.
It is expected that C3 resources will total 620 million tonnes, and C1 and C2 - 642 million tonnes, he said at the conference Exploration and Production: Factors of Sustainable Development.
This includes 1.6 billion rubles planned to go towards exploring 3,000 square meters of the Ozinsko-Altatinskaya zone; almost 5 billion rubles for the Karabashskaya zone (89,000 square meters); 4 billion rubles for Yugansko-Koltoranskaya (59,000 square meters); 16.9 billion rubles for Gydan-Khatanga (352,000 square meters) and 16.9 billion rubles for Argishsko-Chushskaya (115,000 square meters).
