Top Russian and U.S. diplomats meeting in Geneva before key 4-way talks on Ukraine
GENEVA. April 17 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry are holding a bilateral meeting in Geneva on Thursday ahead of key 4-way consultations on Ukraine.
Lavrov and Kerry shook hands in front of photo cameras and continued their meeting behind closed doors.
The meeting of Russia, the United States, the European Union and Ukraine's acting foreign minister is expected to start at 11:00 a.m. local time (1:00 p.m. Moscow time). The consultations are expected to continue for about two hours, after which the sides will meet over lunch.
