Drug dealing group to stand trial in Primorsky territory

VLADIVOSTOK. April 18 (Interfax) - Four residents of the Primorsky territory will stand trial on the counts of illegal production and distribution of large quantities of narcotic drugs.

The organized criminal group members are facing life in jail, the press service of the territorial police department said on Friday.

A cannabis drug laboratory was found in a forest near the village of Novobelmanovka in the Khorolsky district of the Primorsky territory in 2012.

A 44-year old resident of the Khorolsky district, who had an earlier criminal record, was identified as the ring organizer. He recruited unemployed and asocial locals to his criminal business.

The defendant organized hemp sowing, harvesting, transportation and processing, and supervised ring security issues and the delivery of end product to buyers inside and outside of the Primorsky territory.
