FSKN refutes ban on foreign trips of its staff members

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - There is no ban on foreign trips of Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) staff members but they are advised not to visit countries, which have extradition agreements with the United States, the FSKN administration reported.

"As to whether FSKN has prohibited [its staff members] to travel outside of the Russian Federation: no normative acts to this effect have been issued. However, we have drawn their attention to the Foreign Ministry's recommendations," FSKN chief Viktor Ivanov told reporters in Moscow on Thursday in response to an Interfax question.

"We have called attention of our employees to these recommendations. There is no ban on travelling abroad," the FSKN chief noted.

It was reported earlier this week that employees of certain Russian law enforcement agencies had been prohibited to go abroad.
