NTV reports disappearance of TV producer in Ukraine

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - Stepan Chirich, an employee of the First Producing Company and a producer for NTV's program Central Television with Vadim Takmenyov, has disappeared in Ukraine.

"Producer Stepan Chirich traveled to the Ukrainian town of Pershotravensk in the Dnipropetrovsk region on Tuesday to carry out an assignment by this program's editorial staff. He was supposed to shoot a video that has nothing to do with the political situation in Ukraine. The matter concerns Protestant priest Bob Larson's visit to Ukraine as part of his world tour," NTV said in a press release on Thursday.

Chirich stopped answering telephone calls on Wednesday morning, it said.
