Churkin: U.S. reluctant to provide financial support to Ukrainian govt

MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax) - The United States is reluctant to provide financial support to the incumbent Ukrainian authorities, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin said.

"They want Russia to render economic assistance to Ukraine while they place political pieces on the chessboard. They are not ready to give money," he said in Vladimir Solovyov's Voskresny Vecher program on Friday.

At the same time, the diplomat admitted certain disagreements between the U.S. President Barack Obama's administration and Congress on various issues.
