Flag of Donetsk people's republic raised above executive committee in Konstiantynivka - media

KYIV. April 28 (Interfax) - Gunmen have installed a flag of the "Donetsk people's republic" on the facade of the building of the executive committee of the town of Konstiantynivka (Donetsk region of Ukraine). They have also brought sand bags and car tires.

About a dozen of men armed with automatic rifles and wearing camouflage and St. George's ribbons are standing in front of the building, according to pictures posted on the town portal. Their faces are covered with balaclavas.

Several dozen half-empty bags, presumably filled with sand, as well as wooden pallets and quite a lot of car tires can be seen in front of the building.

About twenty people with no insignia are standing in front of the building entrance.

The people who seized the building have not put forward any demands but announced to have "started preparations for the referendum," according to local media reports.
