Russia boosts oil production 1.2% in 4M, gas down 2.4%

MOSCOW. May 5 (Interfax) - Production of oil and gas condensate in Russia grew 1.2% year-on-year to 173.160 million tonnes (10.577 million barrels per day) in January-April 2014, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) reported.

Oil exports to countries outside the CIS declined 2.1% year-on-year to 67.825 million tonnes in the four months.

Oil production in April alone totaled 43.119 million tonnes (10.535 million bpd).

In the four months, Rosneft produced 63.024 million tonnes of oil (15.711 million tonnes in April), Lukoil - 28.463 million tonnes (7.109 million tonnes), Surgutneftegas - 20.146 million tonnes (5.039 million tonnes), Gazprom Neft - 10.924 million tonnes (2.702 million tonnes), Tatneft - 8.702 million tonnes (2.176 million tonnes), Slavneft - 5.318 million tonnes (1.337 million tonnes), Bashneft - 5.544 million tonnes (1.429 million tonnes) and Russneft - 2.819 million tonnes (0.702 million tonnes).

CDU TEK said output by companies with Russian capital and joint ventures with foreign investment stood at 16.133 million tonnes in January-April, including 4.012 million tonnes in April.

Gazprom produced 5.535 million tonnes of oil in the four months, and 1.274 million tonnes in April. Production sharing project operators contributed 5.110 million tonnes (1.272 million tonnes).

Gas production in Russia declined 2.4% year-on-year to 232.540 billion cubic meters in the four months, according to CDU TEK data.

Russia produced 52.017 bcm of gas in April alone.

Gazprom produced 163.436 bcm in the four months, including 34.917 bcm in April.

Leading independent gas produced Novatek produced 18.044 bcm in January-April, including 4.414 bcm in April.

Other oil and gas companies produced 14.787 bcm of gas and operators of production sharing agreements produced 10.221 bcm in the four months, including respectively 4.414 bcm and 3.750 bcm in April.

The leading gas producers among vertically integrated oil companies were Rosneft , which produced 11.233 bcm of gas in the four months, including 2.879 bcm in April; Lukoil with 6.143 bcm and 1.540 bcm respectively; Surgutneftegas with 3.161 bcm and 0.787 bcm; and Gazprom Neft with 4.124 bcm and 0.997 bcm.
