Ukraine didn't change entry rules for Russian citizens - Foreign Ministry
KYIV. May 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine did not adjust the rules for Russian citizens entering Ukraine, said Ukraine's foreign ministry.
"At least, I know nothing about any decisions that would change the rules for Russian citizens entering Ukraine," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
He said these rules are stipulated in the bilateral agreement of 1997.
But he said that in connection with tensions in eastern Ukraine, the border crossing rules for Russian citizens have been tightened, which means that Ukrainian border guards conduct ID checks more thoroughly.
