Ukraine temporarily closes Crimean checkpoints
KYIV. May 5 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Cabinet has temporarily closed 27 sea and air border checkpoints on the national border in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
A document to that effect has been posted on the government's website
In particular, the closed checkpoints include those at Simferopol Airport, a ferry port in Kerch, and the seaports in Sevastopol, Yalta, Kerch and Yevpatoria.
"After eliminating the conditions which led to the temporary closure of the border checkpoints, the State Border Service administration is to submit proposals before the Cabinet on re-opening these checkpoints," the document said.
