Ukraine security forces say 2 cars belonging to attackers destroyed
KYIV. May 8 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has announced that security service officers' positions in the area of the operation in southeastern Ukraine came under fire last night and two cars belonging to the attackers were destroyed by return fire.
"The 6th checkpoint of "anti-terrorist operation" units located within the city was attacked last night. Two cars used by the attackers were destroyed by a strike from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher," the ministry said on its website on Thursday.
The ministry, however, did not say in which part of the Donetsk or Luhansk region the attacked checkpoint is located.
The ministry also warned that its soldiers would be given a "shoot to kill" order in the event of any attack on the positions held by Ukraine's security forces.
