Ukrainian presidential candidate denies being captured
KYIV. May 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian parliamentarian and presidential candidate Oleh Lyashko has dismissed the reports that he was captured by Donbas self-defense fighters.
"Terrorists said they captured me. In Luhansk they even celebrated it with fireworks. They'll get a donut hole, not Lyashko. I'm alive and continue fighting in the east," the presidential candidate wrote on Facebook on Sunday evening.
Earlier a number of media outlets said that Lyashko had been captured in Mariupol, according to announcements made through loudspeakers on the town streets.
