Ukrainian troops open artillery fire at village of Adreyevka, Donetsk region - headquarters of Donetsk region's self-defense forces
MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - The Donetsk region's self-defense forces are saying the Ukrainian troops have opened fire on the village of Andreyevka, a suburb of Slovyansk, using heavy mortars and howitzer weapons.
"The enemy has opened fire on the village of Andreyevka using artillery weapons such as heavy mortars and howitzer weapons. We also have information that the enemy is using combat helicopters there to cover them," a representative of the self-defense forces' headquarters told Interfax.
The self-defense forces are now checking information on the people killed in the attack.
"Some people may have been killed in the attack. Some people have been wounded. We are now verifying this information," the source said.
