Yatsenyuk welcomes Ischinger's involvement in Ukrainian roundtable

KYIV. May 13 (Interfax) - Ukraine values the role the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) plays in its peace process, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.

"I would like to say that the participation of Ambassador Ischinger [German diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger appointed as the OSCE negotiator for the Ukrainian dialogue] in the national dialogue roundtable is momentous and crucial for us," Yatsenyuk told German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Boryspil airport on Tuesday morning.

"We want to discuss five issues in the national dialogue, namely, constitutional reform, decentralization of power, anti-corruption measures and the economic and humanitarian policy," the Ukrainian premier said.

"We value the role the OSCE plays in the arrangement and support of this national dialogue," Yatsenyuk underscored.

He reaffirmed the unwavering position of Ukraine on the international negotiating format. "Speaking of the international negotiating format, our position has been unwavering: we believe that the international negotiating format should involve four parties - the United States, Ukraine, the European Union and the Russian Federation," said the Ukrainian government head.
