Police warrant officer detained in Moscow when attempting to sell heroin

MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - An employee of private security for Moscow's Eastern Administrative District has been detained on suspicion of an attempted drug sale, the press office of the Russian Interior Ministry main department for Moscow told Interfax on Wednesday.

"Field investigators of the Moscow police internal affairs department jointly with colleagues of the criminal investigation department have detained an employee of private security for Moscow's Eastern Administrative District. The police warrant officer is suspected of an attempt to sell narcotic substances - 4.21 grams of a powdered substance containing heroin was found and seized from him," the press office said.

Materials on this incident have been sent in order to make a procedural decision, the press office said. "Following the check, the guilty employee will be fired from the interior agency over this incident and a number of his supervisors will be held disciplinarily liable," the press office said.
