Belarus, VEB sign agreement on credit facility for NPP project

MINSK. May 15 (Interfax) - The government of Belarus, Russia's Vnesheconombank (VEB) and the Belarusian Belvnesheconombank have signed an agreement on a credit facility for Belarus to finance the construction of a nuclear power plant, the state-owned BelTA news agency said.

The VEB supervisory board decided back on December 19 to open a credit facility of up to $500 million for the Belarusian government, repayable in up to eight years, with a four-year grace.
