Express-AM4R satellite launch insured by Ingosstrakh at 13.8 bln rubles
MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The risks relating to the launch of the Express-AM4R telecommunications satellite atop the Proton-M launch vehicle were insured with Ingosstrakh at 13.8 billion rubles, the insurance company told Interfax on Friday.
"The launch and orbit operation risks were insured at 7.8 billion rubles, and the risks of liability to third parties for causing damage with responsibility across the world were insured at 6 billion rubles. The accepted risks were re-insured on the international market," said Ilya Solomatin, the Vice President of Ingosstrakh.
The company is in regular contact with the state commission and the client's representatives.
It was reported earlier that the launch of the Express-AM4R atop the Proton-M rocket in the early hours of Friday failed.
