Maximum heptyl levels not dangerous for environment - agency
MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Agency for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet) said that maximum levels of toxic agents as a result of an incident involving the Proton-M launch vehicle are not as high as to have any critical impact on the environment.
"The maximum estimated value of heptyl concentration will not exceed the level of critical impact, the latest forecast for spatial distribution can be obtained after the parameters of the contamination source are clarified," the agency said in a statement obtained by Interfax on Friday.
