Russian Railways source blames breakage of freight train truck for train collision outside Moscow

MOSCOW. May 20 (Interfax) - A Russian Railways source has blamed a breakage of a freight train truck for a collision with a Moscow-Chisinau passenger train 80 kilometers from Moscow on Tuesday.

"There has been a tangential collision between a freight train and the seventh carriage of a Moscow-Chisinau passenger train. The preliminary information available suggests that it was caused by a breakage of the solebar of the freight train's truck," the source told Interfax on Tuesday.
