Several militiamen injured in Slovyansk overnight fighting

DONETSK. May 21 (Interfax) - A fighting between the National Guard of Ukraine and local militiamen continued through the night in the town of Slovyansk in the Donetsk region, the Slovyansk militia headquarters told Interfax on Wednesday.

"Some among the militiamen were injured, they were hospitalized by medics in critical condition. The town was fired at by armored personnel carriers all night long. There are also injuries among the National Guard. A national guard from the 25th brigade was injured in the neck," the headquarters said.

The hostilities in the town have now stopped. Several roadblocks have been destroyed, the militiamen continue reinforcing their positions.
