News of Thailand putsch 'not reassuring' - ministry

MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - The news of a military coup in Thailand is not reassuring, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"This shows that situation in various regions is very fluid, and such developments in domestic processes are, of course, not reassuring," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Aleksandr Lukashevich said at a briefing in Moscow on Thursday.

The Thai Army military command announced on Thursday that it is taking over the country's rule. "We shall clarify this information," Lukashevich said.

In this situation, "every detail is important," he said.
