Shell destroys house near Slovyansk - militia

DONETSK. May 23 (Interfax) - Howitzers and mortars continue to fire into the town of Slovyansk, Donetsk region, a representative from the volunteer militia headquarters in Slovyansk told Interfax.

"Today private property in the village of Semyonovka near Slovyansk was totally demolished by a shell, two others half-demolished. The owners were not injured in the bombing, but now they are homeless," the source said.

The situation in the town is tense, with people hiding in basements to avoid coming under fire, the source said.
