Abkhaz premier Lakerbaya offers resignation, temporarily replaced by finance minister Delba
SUKHUM. June 2 (Interfax) - Abkhaz Finance Minister Vladimir Delba has been appointed as the acting prime minister of Abkhazia, the republic's acting president and parliamentary speaker Valery Bganba said.
"Premier Leonid Ivanovich Lakerbaya has written a letter of resignation, the decree is now ready. Vladimir Delba will be the acting premier," Bganba told journalists in Sukhum on Monday.
Concurrently, Delba will continue his duties as the finance minister, he added.
Under the decree due to be signed shortly, the remainder of the cabinet will be acting ministers, he said. "We'll see what happens next. Perhaps, someone will not want or be unable to," he said.
