Meeting between Putin, Poroshenko in France not planned - Peskov

MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Petro Poroshenko, who won the presidential elections in Ukraine, is not planned during the celebrations in France marking the anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy.

"No, such an issue is not being worked out," Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Interfax when asked whether a meeting between the Russian president and Poroshenko, who has been invited to celebrations, was possible.

While in France, Putin will probably meet with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Peskov said. "This issue is being worked out now," he said.
