Sberbank could launch inter-host connections with major banks in a month
MOSCOW. June 4 (Interfax) - Sberbank , Russia's biggest bank, could launch inter-host connections with other major Russian banks within a month, Sberbank chief German Gref told reporters.
"We already have inter-hosting with a very large number of banks. I think [we'll launch inter-host connections] very soon - I won't say when, but perhaps within a month. I think we either have them with major banks already or are in the process [of signing agreements on inter-host connections]. As far as I know Gazprombank has sorted all the technicalities out," Gref said.
"We're doing inter-hosting via the UEC company [Universal Electronic Card company, controlled by Sberbank, developing the PRO100 payments system]. All the banks are signing agreements with UEC, and we have one too," Gref said.
