DPR announces partial mobilization
DONETSK. June 4 (Interfax) - The leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have announced mobilization of volunteers into its militia army.
"We have to resort to a measure such as partial mobilization. Some will go to the city of Slovyansk, others will stay in Donetsk," DPR Prime Minister Oleksandr Borodai said at a briefing.
Meanwhile, Fyodor Berezin, who is a spokesman for DPR army commander-in-chief Igor Strelkov, said there are quite many volunteers in the DPR.
"We have not resorted yet to full and mandatory mobilization, but those who will go to fight will keep their jobs," Berezin said.
