Opinion of Russian CEC about presidential election in Syria will appear later - Churov
MOSCOW. June 4 (Interfax) - Head of the Russian Central Elections Commission (CEC) Vladimir Churov regards as politicized the negative evaluations of the Syrian presidential election by several organizations and notes that the opinion of CEC experts on the presidential election will be professional and free from politicking.
"The election procedure is not over yet. This is pure politicking to make early assessments before the voting or before the tabbing of the official results," he said to reporters on Wednesday answering a question related to negative comments on the outcome of the Syrian election.
"Our delegation is operating there [in Syria] together with several organizations. They will come back and compile a report. Unlike other countries it will not contain any political evaluations, as always, but contain a solely professional evaluation of the way key voting procedures were conducted," Churov said.
