Poroshenko vows to strengthen Ukraine's unity

KYIV. June 7 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says the preservation of Ukraine's unity is the main goal of his presidency.

"I am taking up the presidential office to preserve and strengthen Ukraine's unity," Poroshenko said in his inaugural speech at the Verkhovna Rada on Saturday.

Poroshenko started his speech with the words "Glory to Ukraine!"
