Building near Mariupol airport catches fire, shooting reported

MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - A building near the Mariupol airport has caught fire, and a roadblock has been fired on in the Vostochny neighborhood, the Zvezda television channel reported quoting the press service of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.

"An uninhabited building behind the airport is ablaze," the channel cited the Donetsk People's Republic press service as saying.

Meanwhile, the Mariupol city website has posted reports of eyewitnesses who had heard shooting in the city.

"There is automatic gunfire in the Levoberezhye area and single shots in the Ilyichevsky district of the city. People in the Primorsky district have also heard shooting," the report runs.
