Rosatom foresees 40% localization level for nuclear power equipment in Hungary
MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - The Rosatom state corporation expects to achieve a 40% level of localization for manufacture of nuclear power equipment in Hungary, Rosatom chief Sergei Kirienko said at the Atomexpo 2014 conference.
"The scale of localization is increasing. The first projects began with localization at 15%-20%. Today under the latest contract with Hungary, we are counting on a localization level of 40% in equipment manufacture," he said.
Analogous talks are underway with Turkish companies and with Vietnam, he said.
Russia is completing construction of the Paks nuclear power plant complex in Hungary.
