RZD chief asks Putin for rail freight tariff hike above 6% in 2015
SHCHERBINKA (Moscow region). June 10 (Interfax) - Russian Railways (RZD) President Vladimir Yakunin has requested that President Vladimir Putin approve a hike in rail freight tariffs in 2015 above the forecast inflation rate [4.5%-5.5% according to the current Economic Development Ministry forecast] and above the 6% increase planned by that ministry.
"Yesterday I sent a letter to the president in which we lay out the circumstances in which the company is currently operating, which are connected with the non-indexation of tariffs," Yakunin told journalists on Tuesday.
