Medvedev approves plan to stimulate development of oil, gas fields in Caspian
MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed the resolution approving the comprehensive plan for stimulating development of hydrocarbon deposits in the Caspian Sea, the government press service reported.
The document was drafted by the Energy Ministry.
"The plan provides administrative and legislative support for development of Russia's continental shelf and for drawing up a unified, systemic approach to stimulate development of the hydrocarbon resource potential on the shelf and in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea," the statement says.
