Lavrov expresses indignation in talks with Fabius about attack on Russian embassy in Kyiv - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held telephone talks with his French counterpart Laurent Fabius on Sunday.
"Lavrov expressed indignation about the Kyiv authorities' connivance at the outrageous act staged in front of the Russian embassy in Kyiv. Fabius said in turn that France was planning to release a corresponding statement in this connection," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Russian and French foreign ministers exchanged views on the work in the UN Security Council to draft a resolution aimed at settling the crisis in Ukraine.
Continuing the discussion held during Saturday's trilateral telephone talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande, Lavrov and Fabius discussed tensions in Ukraine with an accent on the need to put an early end to the bloodshed in that country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
