Flow of migrant workers from China, Vietnam poses to threat - Federal Migration Service chief
MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - The flow of migrant workers from China and Vietnam to Russia poses no threat, Russian Federal Migration Service Chief Konstantin Romodanovsky said.
"This is not some Vietnamese-Chinese expansion, which was discussed for many years," Romodanovsky said on air of Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) TV channel.
"I do not want, can not and will not envisage anything horrible," he said.
According to Romodanovsky, the Federal Migration Service information resources show that in the past three to four years approximately same number of people come to Russia from China and Germany.
"By the way, Chinese citizens are quite law-abiding. They are excellent specialists and they are managed well by their foremen and their community," Romodanovsky said.
