Criminal case opened over detention of Zvezda reporters in Ukraine - Russian Investigative Committee

MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over the detention of Russian reporters by Ukrainian law enforcement authorities, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.

"The criminal case has been opened over the detention of Zvezda TV and radio company reporters Yevgeny Davydov and Nikita Konashenkov under the articles 356, 144 and 126 [using means and war methods banned; impeding legitimate work of journalists related to violence; kidnapping]," Markin told Interfax on Tuesday.
