Terrorism expansion in Middle East poses threat to entire world - Lavrov
BAKU. June 18 (Interfax) - Terrorism expansion in the Middle East poses a threat to entire global community, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We are quite close to this worrisome region - international terrorism has raised its head there now and those, who join its battle units, will not limit themselves to advancing their plans just there. This is a threat for everyone - for Russia, Azerbaijan, Europe," Lavrov told reporters in Baku following talks at the level of foreign ministers.
Terrorists have recently enhanced their activities, in particular in Iraq, where they have seized some regions and declared intentions to move towards Baghdad.
