King of Jordan on Chechnya visit

GROZNY. June 19 (Interfax) - King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Grozny on Thursday at the invitation of Chechnya's leader Ramzan Kadyrov.

King Abdullah II, born on January 30, 196, the son of King Hussein I, has ruled Jordan since 1999. He served as a commander of Jordan's Special Armed Forces from 1993 to 1996. He held the post of chief of the Special Operations Command of the Armed Forces of Jordan from 1996 to 1999. King Abdullah II holds the army rank of Field Marshal of the Jordanian Armed Forces and the rank of Marshal of Jordan's Royal Air Force.
