Gold in Central Bank of Russia reserves up 0.9% to 34.7 mln oz in May
MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia had 34.7 million Troy ounces (1,080 tonnes) of gold in its reserves as of June 1, 2014, up 0.9% from the beginning of May, the Central Bank said on its web site.
The gold reserves fell 1.9% in value to $43.5 billion in May or 9.3% of the total reserves on June 1, compared with 9.4% on May 1.
Gold reserves grew 4.2% during January-May 2014, from 33.3 million oz (1,036 tonnes) on January 1. The reserves grew 8.7% in value, from $39.99 billion on January 1.
