Central Military District peacemaking brigade placed on alert during drills

MOSCOW. June 23 (Interfax) - During the unscheduled comprehensive operational readiness inspection of the Central Military District units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Samara integrated combined arms force were place on battle alert, the Russian Defense Ministry PR and information department press office said in a statement on Monday.

"Personnel, arms and military equipment of the brigade are currently being moved to the assembly ground for further redeployment with mixed method to sites of carrying out training and battle tasks," the document said.

The brigade subdivisions are ready to hold many-kilometer marches to unknown ranges, the press office said.

In the framework of a large-scale inspection of the Central Military District drills the formations of the 2nd and 41st combined-arms army and paratroopers will hold drills at ranges in the Samara, Kemerovo and Chelyabinsk regions, the statement said.

The unscheduled comprehensive inspection of operation readiness of the Central Military District is conducted since June 21.
