Ukraine imported natural gas from Europe at $375.8 in April - Statistics Service
KYIV. June 23 (Interfax) - Ukraine resumed imports of natural gas from European countries at an average price of $375.8 per one thousand cubic meters in April of 2014, the State Statistics Service said.
Based on a contract with Germany's RWE Supply&Trading, Ukraine imported 64.55 million cubic meters (mcm) of natural gas in April for a total of $24.257 million.
In April, Ukraine imported 2.597 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas from Russia for $697.294 million, at an average price of $268.5 per one thousand cubic meters.
In all, in January-April 2014 Ukraine imported 8.753 bcm of natural gas from Russia and Europe for a total of $2.357 billion. Compared with January-April 2013, imports rose 2.1% or by 178.925 mcm, but fell 34.6% to $1.249 billion in value.
