Oleh Tsaryov elected parliament speaker of union of Donetsk, Luhansk People's Republics
DONETSK. June 26 (Interfax) - The parliament of the union of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics elected Oleh Tsaryov, leader of the movement Southeast, the head of the united parliament in the first session in Donetsk on Thursday.
An Interfax correspondent has reported that the speaker of the united parliament was elected unanimously.
Forty-nine parliamentarians of which 28 represented the Luhansk People's Republic and 21 represented the Donetsk People's Republic, took part in the session.
The united parliament will meet once every two weeks on Monday.
