Poroshenko vows cooperation with CoE experts in mass protest violence inquiries
STRASBOURG. June 26 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has talked about the Ukrainian situation with Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) President Anne Brasseur and Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland.
Jagland told Interfax they had discussed concrete issues, a prosecution service law the Verkhovna Rada was processing and the constitutional process, as well as international assistance to Ukraine.
He said the sides also conferred on the activity of an international expert group the Council of Europe had set up to control the inquiry into violence during mass protests in Ukraine.
According to Jagland, the Ukrainian president assured them the Ukrainian authorities would be fully cooperative.
