One police officer killed, two gravely wounded in assault on Donetsk regional police HQ
KYIV. July 1 (Interfax) - A police officer was killed and several others were wounded in an assault, launched on Tuesday on the Donetsk Regional Police Department, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported.
"Terrorist groups in Donetsk launched an assault against the Donetsk Regional Police Department. Police officers, led by General Kostiantyn Pozhydaev, have barricaded themselves in the building and are holding the line. A police officer was killed and several others were wounded. Two of them are in serious condition," the Interior Ministry said in statement on Tuesday afternoon.
