Shell hits Luhansk school building

LUHANSK. July 2 (Interfax) - A shell launched by Ukrainian troops has hit the building of a school in the Shevchenko neighborhood of the city of Luhansk, according to a spokesperson for the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic.

"At around four o'clock this morning the shell hit the school in the Shevchenko neighborhood, the ammunition has totally destroyed an adjacent structure which has an emergency exit," the spokesperson told Interfax on Wednesday.

"There was no one inside the school at the time, so luckily, no one was injured," the source said.
