Russians on top 3 list of buyers of Italian real estate - ambassador to Russia
MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Italy is not going to toughen rules of selling real estate to Russians, Italian Ambassador to Russia Cesare Maria Ragaglini said.
"From the point of view of regulations, Italy is a very advanced country, and Russians enjoy the same rights as Italians," Ragaglini told Interfax in an interview.
"The number of deals to purchase real estate in Italy by Russians has grown considerably over the past few years. Just give a thought, Russians were accounted to just 2% of foreigners who purchased real estate in Italy in 2005. The figure stood at 13% in 2013 and Russians got on the top three list after Germans and Britons," the ambassador said.
