Gunvor agrees annual transshipment of 9 mln tonnes of condensate from Novatek
MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - OJSC Ust-Luga Oil (formerly Rosneftbunker), controlled by oil trader Gunvor, has concluded a deal with Novatek to transship up to 9 million tonnes of stable gas condensate a year to 2020, Ust-Luga Oil said in its annual report.
It was reported earlier that Novatek uses Ust-Luga Oil's pier to transfer condensate to its adjacent Ust-Luga Gas Condensate Fractionation and Transshipment Complex.
Novatek currently has capacity to fractionate 6 million tonnes of condensate at Ust-Luga each year, producing light and heavy naphtha, aviation kerosene, diesel and furnace/marine fuel, for loading onto tankers.
Ust-Luga Oil transshipped 1.9 million tonnes of Novatek condensate for fractionating in 2013. In addition, a portion of the condensate was exported directly from the Ust-Luga Oil terminal.
Ust-Luga Oil plans to ship 5.4 million tonnes of condensate in 2014.
The stable gas condensate is transported to Ust-Luga from the Purovsky condensate treatment facility, which has capacity to process 11 million tonnes a year, producing over 8 million tonnes of stable gas condensate and about 3 million tonnes of liquefied petroleum gases.
